This poem I wrote on the 6 Nov 05 @ approximately 0939 while in church God inspired me with this poem. At this time in my life I was a backslider ( a person who has turn away from God!) In the bible it says He's forever married to the backsliders. God was trying to reach out to me and yet I ignored him that was almost a year ago; however I ran from God for over 5yrs. I knew what I needed to do but I wasn't ready still to completely surrender my will and life to him. It's amazing how God can speak to us even when we are not listening. If you are far from God give your life back to him completely, don't keep running from the truth in the end you'll only bring about unnecessary pain because of your disobedience. This is a lesson I learnt the hard way but one I don't regret because now my testimony is greater! God Bless..
Lord I rededicate my life to you
For all the good and bad things I do
I confess them, make my life brand new
For I've been running from the truth
Causing me to be so blue
Let me be filled with your word again
Taking away all this sin and pain!
How many times I've taken your spirit in vain..
You have destine me long before birth
Sent to do your will here on Earth
There are times I long for your grace
Please father don't shun your face
Things are constantly not going right
Days I've prayed but the words don't seem to come out right
As I wait for your word through the night
I know what I must do
In order for my spirit to be renew
Jesus I rededicate my life back to you...
